BATON ROUGE, La., Sept. 14 (UPI) -- Zach Mettenberger tossed three touchdowns passes and Jeremy Hill rushed for 117 yards Saturday, lifting No. 8 Louisiana State University over Kent State 45-13.
Mettenberger picked up 264 passing yards on 13-of-18 efficiency with no interceptions while Hill scored twice on 11 carries for the Tigers (3-0).
Jarvis Landry hauled in two of Mettenberger's TD tosses, finishing with four catches for 66 yards, while Odell Beckham led LSU's receiving corps with five grabs for 76 yards and a touchdown.
Colin Reardon went 20-of-29 through the air for 190 yards and scored on a 2-yard run for the Golden Flashes (1-2).
