Quebec students strip-searched during exam

ATHENS, Ga., Feb. 25 (UPI) -- Georgia sophomore tight end Ty Flournoy-Smith was arrested and charged with reporting a false crime, a misdemeanor, Athens-Clark County, Ga., jail records say.
Flournoy-Smith filed a report claiming his textbooks were stolen, University of Georgia Police Chief Jimmy Williamson said, but an investigation indicated Flournoy-Smith cashed in the books at an Athens, Ga., buy-back store.
"Books and backpacks are stolen all the time and we know the places they take them. It became apparent Ty had returned the books himself," Williamson said, adding he wasn't aware of the value of the books.
Flournoy-Smith was arrested Friday, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
