KENT, Ohio, Feb. 21 (UPI) -- Julian Durden, Kent State running back, is charged with receiving stolen property and marijuana possession, and has been suspended from the team.

School police charged Durden with receiving stolen property, a felony, after a student reported her wallet missing from her dorm room on Feb. 9. Durden also received a citation after police found less than 100 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in his possession, the website kentwired.com reported Thursday.

Durden, a freshman, pleaded guilty to the marijuana possession charge and will participate in a counseling program, the website said.

"His status (on the football team) depends on how things go moving forward," said Aaron Chimenti, assistant director of athletic communications.
