MONTGOMERY, Ala., Jan. 10 (UPI) -- Montgomery, Ala., police say a bus carrying University of Alabama cheerleaders was involved in a crash that left one person in critical condition.

The charter bus was bringing the cheerleaders home from the BCS championship football game in Miami when it was involved in a three-vehicle crash with a car and a pickup truck Tuesday, the Tuscaloosa (Ala.) News reported.

Natalie Baine, who was one of four UA students in the pickup truck, was in critical condition at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery, a hospital spokeswoman said.

The other passengers were not injured, said UA spokeswoman Cathy Andreen. The vehicles were not traveling with the charter bus, she said.

Police say no one on the bus was hurt.

The crash is under investigation, Montgomery Police spokeswoman Lt. Regina Duckett said.
