COL FB: Tulsa 31, Iowa State 17

MEMPHIS, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Alex Singleton ran for three touchdowns Monday and Tulsa reeled off 24 straight points in its 31-17 victory over Iowa State in the Liberty Bowl.

Trey Watts racked up 149 rushing yards on 25 carries and Cody Green threw for 93 yards while also scoring on the ground for the Golden Hurricane (11-3), which tied the school mark for most wins in a single season.

Thomas Roberson led Tulsa's receiving corps with two catches for 35 yards.

The Cyclones (6-7) got a 14-of-28, 170-yard combined passing performance from signal-callers S.B. Richardson and Steele Jantz in their fourth loss over five contests to end the season.

Ernst Brun compiled 102 receiving yards with a score on four receptions for Iowa State.
