
NEW YORK, Dec. 29 (UPI) -- Prince-Tyson Gulley accounted for 265 yards and three touchdowns for Syracuse Saturday in the Orange's 38-14 defeat of West Virginia in the Pinstripe Bowl.
Gulley scored twice on the ground en route to 215 rushing yards on 26 carries and also hauled in scoring pass among his five catches for 50 yards for the Orange (8-5).
Ryan Nassib completed 12-for-24 passes for 127 passing yards with two touchdowns and an interception as Syracuse claimed its second win at the Yankee Stadium contest -- its first came over Kansas State in 2010.
Jerome Smith also had a big rushing day for the Orange, carrying the ball 29 times for 158 yards.
The Mountaineers (7-6) got a 16-for-24, 187-yard passing performance from Geno Smith in stumbling to their sixth loss in eight games to finish the season.
Smith fired two TD passes but also lost a fumble and was sacked twice for safeties.
