TUSCALOOSA, Ala., Nov. 24 (UPI) -- AJ McCarron hurled four touchdowns passes and No. 2 Alabama cruised to a 49-0 rout of intrastate rival Auburn Saturday in the annual Iron Bowl game.

McCarron connected on 15-of-21 pass attempts for 217 yards.

Amari Cooper finished with 110 yards and two TDs on five receptions as the Crimson Tide (11-1, 7-1 SEC) claimed their most one-sided Iron Bowl win since December 1948.

Kevin Norwood also caught a pair of scoring passes for the winners. Eddie Lacy compiled 130 yards and two touchdowns on 18 rushes as Alabama won the rivalry game for the fourth time in five years.

The Tigers (3-9, 0-8) remained winless in conference play as Jonathan Wallace could manage only 71 yards on 5-of-14 passing with two interceptions.
