TUSCALOOSA, Ala., Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Deshazor Everett's interception with 1:36 left Saturday assured No. 14 Texas A&M's 29-24 upset victory over top-ranked and previously unbeaten Alabama.

With Alabama trailing by five points and time running down, AJ McCarron drove the Crimson Tide to the Texas A&M 2-yard line where they elected to go for a win on fourth down.

The signal-caller tried a pass into the end zone, but it was behind Kenny Bell and Everett stepped up to make the pickoff, sealing the win for the Aggies (8-2, 5-2 SEC) in their first-ever visit to Tuscaloosa.

Johnny Manziel (24-of-31, 253 yards, two touchdowns) hit Malcolme Kennedy on a 24-yard scoring pass with 8:37 left to hand A&M a 29-17 advantage.

Manziel also ran the ball 18 times for 92 yards. Ryan Swope made 11 grabs for 111 yards with a score for the Aggies.

McCarron finished 21-of-34 for 309 passing yards. He hooked up with Amari Cooper on a 54-yard scoring strike with 6 minutes left to cut the Aggies' lead, but it wasn't enough as Alabama (9-1, 6-1) sustained its first loss of the season.
