BATON ROUGE, La., Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Zach Mettenberger connected on two scoring passes Saturday, boosting ninth-ranked Louisiana State to a 37-17 spanking of No. 23 Mississippi State.

Craig Loston returned an interception 100 yards for a touchdown to seal the victory and J.C. Copeland ran for a score as the Tigers (8-2, 4-2 SEC) logged their 13th straight win over the Bulldogs.

LSU posted the victory after falling to top-ranked Alabama last week.

The Bulldogs (7-3, 3-3), meanwhile, dropped their third straight as Tyler Russell was limited to one touchdown pass.
