JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Oct. 27 (UPI) -- Todd Gurley complemented a tough Georgia defense with 118 rushing yards and a touchdown Saturday in the 11th-ranked Bulldogs' 17-9 upending of No. 3 Florida.

Georgia's defensive unit was led by linebacker Jarvis Jones, who recorded three sacks and forced two fumbles for Georgia (7-1, 5-1 SEC), which enhanced its chances for a spot in the SEC championship game.

The Bulldogs held the Gators' high-flying running attack to 81 yards in the convincing victory. Georgia has conference games remaining against Mississippi and Auburn.

Aaron Murray (12-of-24, 150 yards, three interceptions) hooked up on a 45-yard touchdown pass to Malcolm Mitchell with 7:11 left to ice the victory.

John Driskel was intercepted twice and lost two fumbles while going 14-of-26 for 185 yards passing as Florida (7-1, 6-1) dropped from the ranks of the undefeated.
