COL FB: Kent State 35, Rutgers 23

PISCATAWAY, N.J., Oct. 27 (UPI) -- Spencer Keith threw two scoring passes Saturday for Kent State, which brought 15th-ranked Rutgers' undefeated streak to an end with a 35-23 upset.

Keith went 14-of-21 through the air for 121 yards and Trayion Durham racked up 131 rushing yards and with touchdown on 22 carries as Kent State (7-1) beat a ranked opponent for the first time in school history.

Dri Archer chipped in 79 rushing yards and a score for the Golden Flashes, whose defense forced seven turnovers.

Gary Nova was picked off six times while completing just 25-of-46 passes for Rutgers (7-1).

Jawan Jamison combined for 172 rushing and receiving yards for the Scarlet Knights.
