LANDOVER, Md., Sept. 29 (UPI) -- Munchie Legaux found Damon Julian with a 39-yard touchdown pass late in the game Saturday, boosting Cincinnati to a 27-24 win over 25th-ranked Virginia Tech.
The TD toss with 13 seconds left came at the end of a nine-play, 85-yard drive for the Bearcats (3-0).
Legaux finished the day with three scoring strikes en route to 376 yards on just 19-of-42 passing efficiency.
Kenbrell Thompkins led Cincinnati's receiving corps with 134 yards and a touchdown. George Winn picked up 76 rushing yards on 17 carries.
Virginia Tech (3-2) was hampered by a inconsistent game from Logan Thomas, who was picked off twice while throwing for 242 yards and a touchdown.
Marcus Davis made five grabs for 101 yards for the Hokies.
