COL FB: Notre Dame 13, Michigan 6

SOUTH BEND, Ind., Sept. 22 (UPI) -- Kyle Brindza kicked two field goals and 15th-ranked Notre Dame forced six turnovers Saturday in its 13-6 decision over No. 17 Michigan.

The Fighting Irish (4-0) intercepted five straight Michigan passes in the first half, four of them tossed by the Wolverines' Denard Robinson.

Notre Dame scored its only touchdown with 1:21 left in the first half on a 2-yard run by quarterback Tommy Rees.

Rees -- who came in for a struggling Everett Golson -- completed 8-of-11 passes for 115 yards with no interceptions.

Brendan Gibbons booted a pair of field goals for the Wolverines (2-2).

Robinson was limited to 138 passing yards of 13-of-24 efficiency while adding 90 yards on the ground.
