Vols QB Bray avoids vandalism charges

KNOXVILLE, Tenn., July 26 (UPI) -- Prosecutors said no charges will be filed against University of Tennessee junior starting quarterback Tyler Bray for his role in the vandalism of a vehicle.

Bradi Hudson, 22, told Knoxville police Wednesday she would not press charges against Bray, 20, or his roommate Michael C. Grandinetti, 26, for throwing beer bottles and golf balls at her 2008 Ford Special, the Knoxville News Sentinel reported Thursday.

Hudson said she would not press charges because Bray reached out to her and offered to take care of the estimated $500 in damages to her vehicle.

Bray is expected to compete for the Danny O'Brien National Quarterback of the Year Award, the Manning Award for best quarterback in college football, the Maxwell Award for college football player of the year and the Walter Camp Player of the Year Award in the upcoming college football season. He is projected to be a first round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.
