SOUTH BEND, Ind., May 17 (UPI) -- Notre Dame head football coach Brian Kelly said he is aware that another of his players has run into alcohol-related trouble.

Police records in Vernon Hills, Ill., indicate that DaVaris Daniels, a sophomore receiver, was cited for consumption of alcohol by a minor, the Chicago Tribune reported Thursday.

Daniels was one of 29 individuals cited for underage drinking on May 13 at an address in Vernon Hills that matches his own.

"I'm aware of the citation DaVaris received and will be speaking to him about the matter," said Kelly.

Daniels is the third Irish player to encounter alcohol-related legal trouble this month. Notre Dame quarterback Tommy Rees and linebacker Carlo Calabrese were arrested after police broke up an off-campus party in South Bend, Ind., on May 3.
