STATE COLLEGE, Pa., Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Lawyers for former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky have asked a Pennsylvania judge to allow him to see his 11 grandchildren.

In a motion Friday, the lawyers said the visits would be in Sandusky's home in College Township, where he is under house arrest, The Patriot-News of Harrisburg reported. At least one parent would have to be present when Sandusky is with a child.

Sandusky has been charged with molesting boys he gained access to through his charity, The Second Mile. His lawyer, Joe Amendola, said members of his family also have accused him of molestation.

In court papers, the lawyers said some of his grandchildren have said they would like to see him.

The charges against Sandusky, a longtime assistant to the head coach, Joe Paterno, created an uproar at Penn State. Paterno, who had been at Penn State for more than 60 years, was fired less than three months before his death, and two university officials have been charged with failing to report Sandusky to police.

A judge has scheduled a hearing Feb. 10 to deal with the motion on visitation and a defense motion for detailed information on his accusers.
