COL FB: Texas Tech 41, Oklahoma 38

NORMAN, Okla., Oct. 23 (UPI) -- Seth Doege accounted for five touchdowns Saturday in Texas Tech's 41-38 upset of top-ranked Oklahoma that broke the Sooners' 39-game home winning streak.

Doege amassed 441 aerial yards on 33-of-52 passing efficiency, connecting on four TD passes, and also ran in a score as Texas Tech (5-2, 2-2 Big 12) shook off a pair of home losses in its previous two contests to shock the Sooners.

Three of Doege's scoring strikes went to Alex Torres, who finished with 94 yards on four grabs.

Oklahoma (6-1, 3-1) was hobbled by two missed two field goals by Mike Hunnicutt. One of his misfires came on a 28-yarder with 3 minutes left.

Landry Jones fired five touchdown passes, including one with 1:10 remaining to pull Oklahoma to within three points, but Texas Tech recovered the subsequent onside kick, sealing the upset.

The Sooners lost for the first time at home since on Sept. 3, 2005.
