TUSCALOOSA, Ala., Sept. 17 (UPI) -- Trent Richardson scored three times and Eddie Lacy added two TDs Saturday in second-ranked Alabama's 41-0 steamrolling of North Texas.

Richardson rushed for 167 yards on 11 carries and Lacy contributed 161 yards on nine tries as Alabama (3-0) cruised to an easy win.

A.J. McCarron guided the Crimson Tide to 190 aerial yards on 15-of-21 passing.

North Texas (0-3) had no answer for the Alabama defense, managing only 177 yards of offense to 587 for the Tide.

The Mean Green were led by Derek Thompson, who went 11-of-22 through the air, while Lance Dunbar caught four passes for 45 yards.
