The Buckeyes churned out 517 total yards and 27 first downs in the game to Akron's 90 yards and five first downs. The Zips were 2-of-13 on third-down conversions.

Akron's Clayton Moore was 6-of-16 for 54 yards passing and was the Zips' leading rusher with 32 yards.
