TALLAHASSEE, Fla., Sept. 3 (UPI) -- E.J. Manuel went 22-of-34 passing and connected for two touchdowns Saturday in No. 5 Florida State's 34-0 pounding of Louisiana-Monroe.

Manuel tossed for 251 yards, getting picked off once, and ran the ball seven times for 26 yards as the Seminoles (1-0) got their season off to a good start with the one-sided win.

Greg Dent, Bert Reed and Rashad Greene each corralled a scoring strike and Devonta Freeman gained 24 yards on seven carries with a 1-yard TD run for Florida State.

Kolton Browning managed only 85 yards passing, going 11-of-19, and ran the ball 11 times for 27 yards for the Warhawks (0-1).
