BOSTON -- North Carolina basketball coach Roy Williams collapsed in the huddle during a second-half timeout in a game against Boston College Tuesday night and had to be helped to the locker room at Conte Forum.

North Carolina spokesman Steve Kirschner reported the Hall of Fame coach was resting in the locker room and was apparently OK.

Kirschner said Williams was feeling dizzy in the huddle during the first media timeout of the second half.

Williams has had vertigo-related problems in the past.

Assistant coach Steve Robinson took over running the Tar Heels, who were in a close battle with Boston College, which entered the game 0-10 in Atlantic Coast Conference play.
