LOUISVILLE, Ky., Feb. 6 (UPI) -- After taking a punch to the gut, Louisville basketball has one of the best fighters ever in its corner.
Boxing legend Muhammad Ali posted a photo to Twitter Saturday. The photo showed Ali lounging in a chair, sporting a red shirt, putting up his fighting fists, while brandishing an "I've got your back" Louisville Cardinals sign in the background.
The caption on the photo reads: "Once a Louisville Cardinal, always a Louisville Cardinal. Keep Fighting- I've got your back! #IveGotYourBack @gocards."
Louisville self-imposed a postseason ban this week on its basketball program after a meeting with the NCAA. The program was under investigation following allegations of incidents with paid dancers and escorts who intermingled with the basketball team from 2010 to 2014.
