Kentucky tops schools with four McDonald's All-Americans

CHICAGO, Jan. 18 (UPI) -- College basketball fans will get a preview of nearly an entire lineup of Kentucky recruits at the March 30 McDonald's All-American Game.

Of the 24 players picked for the high school game, four are going to play for coach John Calipari.

The future Wildcats picked to play are: North Carolina's Bam Adebayo, Texas' De'Aaron Fox, Virginia's Sacha Killeya-Jones, and Arkansas' Malik Monk.

The East squad consists of: Adebayo, undecided Udoka Azubuike, North Carolina commit Tony Bradley, Michigan State's Miles Bridges, Alabama's Terrance Ferguson, Fox, Washington's Markelle Fultz, Texas' Andrew Jones, Killeya-Jones, Louisvile's V.J. King, Arizona's Kobi Simmons, and Duke's Jayson Tatum.

The West squad consists of: Undecided Jarrett Allen, UCLA's Lonzo Ball, undecided Marques Bolden, Gonzaga's Zach Collins, UConn's Alterique Gilbert, Virginia's Kyle Guy, Miami's Dewan Huell, Duke's Frank Jackson, undecided Josh Jackson, Michigan State's Josh Langford, UCLA's T.J. Leaf, and Monk.

The East girl's squad consists of: Notre Dame's Erin Boley, Maryland's Kaila Charles, Baylor's Natalie Chou, Kentucky's Lindsey Corsaro, UConn's Crystal Dangerfield, Texas' Joyner Holmes, Louisville's Ciera Johnson, Oklahoma's Nancy Mulkey, TCU's Amber Ramirez, Texas' Alecia Sutton, Maryland's Blair Watson, and Arkansas' Aaliyah Wilson.

The West team consists of: Harvard's Jeannie Boehm, Stanford's DiJonai Carrington, Vanderbilt's Chassity Carter, Baylor's Lauren Cox, Stanford's Nadia Fingall, undecided Sabrina Ionescu, Ohio State's Tori McCoy, Duke's Leaonna Odom, Louisville's Kylee Shook, Maryland's Destiny Slocum, Stanford's Anna Wilson, and Notre Dame's Jackie Young.

Wilson is the sister of Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.

The game will be played in Chicago's United Center and be broadcasted on ESPNU. The Wildcats have signed 57 McDonald's All-Americans since 1977, according to UKAthletics.com. Since Calipari took over at Kentucky, he has signed 25 of those players. Each year in Lexington, Calipari has had at least four players in the game, including five in 2013.
