ANN ARBOR, Mich., Aug. 22 (UPI) -- Maize and Blue basketball boss John Beilein claimed the title of "best offensive coach in a CBSSports.com survey.

The survey, which included about 100 coaches and involved many other coaches, touted Beilein's ability to the tune of 16.9 percent of the vote.

Beilein. 52, has coached for 37 seasons and is 166-110 in eight seasons at Michigan. Davidson's Bob McKillop, Wisconsin's Bo Ryan, Gonzaga's Mark Few and Duke's Mike Krzyzewski trailed Beilein in the poll.

According to Kenpom's rankings, Beilein coached the No. 1 offenses in 2012 and 2013.

The Wolverines shot 48 percent last season and 39 percent from 3-point range.

"This was the question that garnered the widest range of responses," CBS' Sam Vecenie said in the video. "John Beilein from Michigan led the way with 16.9% of the vote, which is interesting and probably well deserved. Beilein's two-guard offense revolves around a four out one in structure and is heavily reliant on three-pointers and back cuts. Beilein's offense have been incredibly successful over the course of the past few years. Back when he had Trey Burke in 2013, his offense was the highest rated since KenPom has been accumulating offensive statistics back in 2002."
