COL BKB: Minnesota 95, Iowa 89

MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 25 (UPI) -- Austin Hollins connected for 27 points on 8-of-10 shooting Tuesday, powering Minnesota to a 95-89 triumph over No. 19 Iowa.

Hollins pumped in four 3-pointers Deande Mathieu supplied 19 points with seven assists for the Golden Gophers (18-11, 7-9 Big Ten), who went 11-of-19 from 3-point range overall.

Andre Hollins added 14 points and Charles Buggs totaled 13 in a reserve role.

The Hawkeyes (19-8, 8-6) dropped a second straight despite 24 points from Roy Devyn Marble.

Aaron White finished with 21.
