COL BKB: Michigan 79, Michigan State 70

ANN ARBOR, Mich., Feb. 23 (UPI) -- Nik Stauskas and Caris LeVert combined for 48 points Sunday and No. 20 Michigan notched a 79-70 victory over 14th-ranked arch-rival Michigan State.

Stauskas netted 25 points and LeVert contributed 23 as the Wolverines (19-7, 11-3 Big Ten) completed a season-series sweep of the Spartans and moved past them by one-half game atop the Big Ten Conference standings.

Glenn Robinson III added 15 points for Michigan, which rebounded from a home loss to Wisconsin last week.

MSU (22-6, 11-4) fell for the second time in three games despite 21 points from Gary Harris.

Denzel Valentine added 13 and Adriean Payne contributed 12 with 11 rebounds.
