COL BKB: Iowa State 85, Texas 76

AMES, Iowa, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- Melvin Ejim, DeAndre Kane and Georges Niang each broke the 20-point barrier Tuesday, propelling No. 19 Iowa State over 17th-ranked Texas 85-76.

Ejim supplied 25 points and eight rebounds, Kane contributed 22 points, seven rebounds and five assists and Niang chipped in 20 points with five assists for the Cyclones (20-5, 8-5 Big 12).

The win allowed Iowa State to avenge a Jan. 18 road loss to Texas.

Isaiah Taylor totaled 26 points and eight assists for the Longhorns (20-6, 9-4), who lost for just the second time in 11 games.

Javan Felix netted 16 points and Jonathan Holmes provided 14 with nine rebounds for Texas.
