COL BKB: North Carolina 75, Pittsburgh 71

CHAPEL HILL, N.C., Feb. 15 (UPI) -- James Michael McAdoo provided 24 points and 12 rebounds Saturday, hoisting North Carolina to a sixth straight win, 75-71 over No. 23 Pittsburgh.

McAdoo connected on 11-of-18 shots from the field and Marcus Paige drained five 3-pointers en route to 18 points for the Tar Heels (17-7, 7-4 ACC).

Brice Johnson helped out with 13 points and seven rebounds.

Lamar Patterson netted 16 points for the Panthers (20-6, 8-5), who suffered a second straight tough loss after falling in the final seconds to top-ranked Syracuse Wednesday.

Jamel Artis notched 13 points and seven rebounds.
