COL BKB: Memphis 76, Central Florida 70

MEMPHIS, Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Memphis continued its late-season surge by knocking off Central Florida 76-70 Wednesday.

The 22nd-ranked Tigers (19-5, 8-3 ACC) were led by Joe Jackson's 18 points and posted their seventh win in their last eight games.

Jackson also had five rebounds and five assists. Shaq Goodwin added 14 points.

Tristan Spurlock scored 18 points and had 10 rebounds for UCF (9-13, 1-10) and Isaiah Sykes tallied 14 points. The Knights lost their ninth consecutive game.

The Knights tied the game 48-48 with 9:14 left in regulation, but the Tigers responded with two scoring runs and took control. UCF was unable to get closer than six points off the lead the rest of the way.
