COL BKB: Villanova 81, Xavier 58

VILLANOVA, Pa., Feb. 3 (UPI) -- James Bell netted 27 points, going 6-of-10 from 3-point range, and No. 6 Villanova cruised to an 81-58 victory over Xavier Monday.

Bell also hauled down eight rebounds for the Wildcats (20-2, 8-1 Big East), who notched a fourth straight win.

Darrun Hilliard added 17 points and JayVaughn Pinkston supplied 11 with eight rebounds.

The Musketeers (15-7, 5-4) were led by Semaj Christon with 17 points and four assists.

Matt Stainbrook logged a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds.
