PHILADELPHIA, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- Sean Kilpatrick capped a 29-point performance with a pair of late free throws Sunday, sealing No. 16 Cincinnati's 80-76 victory over Temple.

The Bearcats (19-2, 8-0 AAC) squandered an 18-point lead and had to hang on to claim their 12th straight win.

Temple forged a 76-76 tie on Dalton Pepper's 3-pointer with 36.9 seconds to play, but Kilpatrick netted a pair of foul shots on the next possession to put Cincinnati back in front.

Jermaine Sanders then blocked a Josh Brown shot and Kevin Johnson added two more free throws to seal the Bearcats' victory.

Kilpatrick also grabbed eight rebounds and Shaquille Thomas added 15 for Cincinnati.

Pepper fired in eight 3-pointers en route to 33 points for the Owls (5-13, 0-7).
