COL BKB: Pittsburgh 83, Maryland 79

COLLEGE PARK, Md., Jan. 25 (UPI) -- Lamar Patterson had 28 points, seven rebounds and seven assists Saturday, propelling 19th-ranked Pittsburgh over Maryland 83-79.

Talib Zanna helped out with 16 points and eight rebounds for the Panthers (18-2, 6-1 ACC), who won a second straight following a Jan. 18 loss to No. 2 Syracuse.

James Robinson added 13 points and Cameron Wright scored 12.

The Terrapins (11-9, 3-4) got 19 points and five steals from Dez Wells. Jake Layman had 18 points, five rebounds and three steals.
