COL BKB: Kansas 78, Baylor 68

LAWRENCE, Kan., Jan. 20 (UPI) -- Perry Ellis scored 18 points and Andrew Wiggins added 17 more Monday, boosting 11th-ranked Kansas over No. 23 Baylor 78-68 for a fifth straight win.

Ellis netted seven of points during a decisive 9-0 run early in the second and Wiggins drained 10-of-12 free throws for the Jayhawks (14-4, 5-0 Big 12), who defeated a ranked opponent for a fourth consecutive game.

Joel Embiid notched 12 points and Frank Mason finished with nine and six assists.

Brady Heslip put in 19 points, including six 3-pointers, for the Bears (13-5, 1-4).

Cory Jefferson and Isaiah Austin each scored 16 as fading Baylor dropped a fourth in five games.
