COL BKB: Villanova 88, DePaul 62

VILLANOVA, Pa., Jan. 18 (UPI) -- James Bell supplied 17 points and eight rebounds Saturday, propelling sixth-ranked Villanova to a fifth straight win, 88-62 over DePaul.

Daniel Ochefu helped out with 14 points, six rebounds and four assists as the Wildcats (16-1, 5-0 Big East) continued to roll after falling to Syracuse Dec. 28 in their only loss of the season.

Bell connected on a pair of free throws late in the first half to ignite a 9-2 run that broke the game open for Villanova.

The Blue Demons (10-9, 2-4) were led by Brandon Young with 13 points.
