COL BKB: Providence 81, Creighton 68

PROVIDENCE, R.I., Jan. 18 (UPI) -- Bryce Cotton and LaDontae Henton combined for 42 points Saturday, igniting Providence to an 81-68 upset of No. 19 Creighton.

Cotton scored 23 points and dished off six assists, Henton added 19 with six rebounds.

Kadeem Batts contributed 13 points and nine rebounds as the Friars (13-5, 3-2 Big East) recorded a third straight win.

The Bluejays (15-3, 5-1) had their 10-game winning streak ended despite 21 points and seven rebounds from Doug McDermott.

Devin Brooks also reached double figures with 10 points.
