Arizona (17-0) tops the poll for a sixth consecutive week and receives 30 first-place mentions from the 32-member Board of Coaches. No. 2 Syracuse (16-0) gets one of the other first-place votes. The other remains with No. 4 Michigan State (15-1) but Wisconsin (16-0) moves ahead of the Spartans and into the third place in the poll.
Wichita State (17-0), the other unbeaten team in the Top 25, is up one place to fifth.
Ten ranked teams lost last week, although No. 25 UCLA losing to Arizona by four points doesn't hurt the Bruins in the rankings. But Ohio State (15-2) lost twice and falls six places to No. 9 and Oregon, which also lost twice as the team tied for 13th in last week's rankings, falls from the Top 25.
Five teams, not counting Oregon, nose-dive at least five places. Louisville is off six to No. 14, Duke falls seven spots to 20th, Colorado is down five to 22nd and Gonzaga slips from 18th to No. 24.
That allows for many teams to improve their positions. Among those seeing gains are Iowa, which leaps seven places to 16th, and Memphis, up five to No. 17. Seven teams move up four places.
That lists includes No. 6 Villanova (15-1), seventh-ranked Florida (13-2) and No. 8 Oklahoma State (14-2), which are all ahead of Ohio State (15-2) and 10th-ranked Iowa State (14-1).
San Diego State (14-1) and Kentucky (12-3), now sitting at 11th and 12th, respectively, are two others up four places this week. However, Baylor (13-2) falls four to 13th and then comes Louisville (14-3). Massachusetts, (14-1) goes from 19th to No. 15 this week.
Iowa (14-3) takes over the No. 16 position with Memphis (12-3) next and Kansas (11-4) up two to No. 18. Creighton (14-2) is the other team improving four spots this week, moving to 19th ahead of Duke (12-4)
Pittsburgh (15-1), voted No. 21, enters the Top 25 for the first time this season. Colorado (14-3) settles in at 22nd ahead of Cincinnati (15-2), another new poll entry, at 23rd. Gonzaga (14-3) is just ahead of No. 25 UCLA (13-3).
In addition to Oregon, Missouri falls out of the Top 25 this week.
Kansas is the only team with an unbeaten Big 12 record but that will be tested this week as the Jayhawks play Monday at Iowa State and go against Oklahoma State at home Saturday. Other key games have UCLA visiting Colorado Thursday while Pittsburgh plays at Syracuse Saturday.
