COL BKB: Wisconsin 95, Illinois 70

MADISON, Wis., Jan. 9 (UPI) -- Ben Brust led the way with 18 points Wednesday and No. 4 Wisconsin put on a tremendous shooting show in routing Illinois 95-70.

The Badgers overwhelmed the Illini in the first half, taking a 50-25 lead, and easily stayed unbeaten with their third Big Ten Conference victory in as many tries. Wisconsin has defeated Illinois in each of their last six meetings.

The 16-0 start is the best in school history and the Badgers are only one victory away from equaling the team's longest winning streak, set seven years ago.

Sam Dekker added 17 points and six rebounds for the Badgers. Frank Kaminsky and Traevon Jackson both had 15.

Illinois (13-3, 2-1 Big Ten) had won four games in a row. Rayvonte Rice scored 19 points to lead Illinois.
