IOWA CITY, Iowa, Jan. 9 (UPI) -- Aaron White made all 10 of his free-throw attempts and scored 18 points Thursday in leading No. 23 Iowa to a 93-67 decision over Northwestern.
The Hawkeyes shot 57 percent from the field, hit 8-of-14 from 3-point range, rolled to a 15-point halftime lead and coasted from there to breeze past the Wildcats.
Iowa reached 13-3 for the season and is 2-1 in the Big Ten Conference.
White added 10 rebounds and five assists, while Melsahn Basabe contributed 16 points and 10 boards. All but one of the 12 Iowa players who took the court scored at least a point.
JerShon Cobb had 18 points and seven rebounds to lead Northwestern (7-9, 0-3 Big Ten).
