COL BKB: Iowa State 87, Baylor 72

AMES, Iowa, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- DeAndre Kane's 30 points, nine assists, eight rebounds and five steals Tuesday powered No. 7 Iowa State over ninth-ranked Baylor 87-72.

The Marshall transfer went 11-of-18 from the field and sparked the Cyclones (14-0, 2-0 Big-12) to a 14th straight win, extending a team record.

Melvin Ejim put in 18 points and Monte Morris came off the bench to score 13 for Iowa State, which went on a 11-3 run early in the second half and never looked back.

Brady Heslip and Gary Franklin each scored 15 points for Baylor (12-2, 0-1), which fell to 0-6 all-time against Top 10 opponents.
