COL BKB: Kansas State 74, Oklahoma State 71

MANHATTAN, Kan., Jan. 4 (UPI) -- Marcus Foster scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds Saturday in Kansas State's 74-71 surprise of No. 6 Oklahoma State.

Nino Williams chipped in 15 points as the unranked Wildcats (11-3, 1-0 Big 12) reeled off a ninth straight win in the two teams' conference opener.

Thomas Gipson notched a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds.

The Cowboys (12-2, 0-1) got 20 points from Le'Bryan Nash but couldn't prevent the end of their five-game winning streak.

Markel Brown supplied 16 points with nine rebounds and Marcus Smart had 15 for OSU.
