COL BKB: Louisville 85, Florida International 56

MIAMI, Dec. 21 (UPI) -- Russ Smith netted 18 points Saturday and No. 4 Louisville dispatched Florida International 85-56 in the Cardinals' first true road game of the season.

Smith went 4-of-7 from 3-point range and and Wayne Blackshear added 13 points for Louisville (11-1), which used a ballhawking defense to force 20 turnovers.

Montrezl Harrell provided 10 points with five rebounds and Chane Behanan chipped in with nine points, five rebounds and four assists.

Rakeem Buckles netted 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for the Golden Panthers (8-5).

Tymell Murphy contributed 14 points for FIU.
