The Wolverines (6-3) scored 60 points in the first half and outrebounded Houston Baptist (3-6) 33-26 in the victory.
Zak Irvin added 14 points and Mitch McGary had 12 points and nine rebounds. The Wolverines shot 64.3 percent from the field and made 16 3-point shots.
Michigan led 60-34 at halftime and held the Huskies to 19 points in the second half.
Houston Baptist, which had won its previous two games, shot 39 percent from the field and only reached the free throw line four times in the game. Rob Lewis and Ricmonds Vilde both scored 10 points in the loss.
