COL BKB: Massachusetts 105, Brigham Young 96

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Dec. 7 (UPI) -- Chaz Williams poured in 32 points Saturday and No. 22 Massachusetts remained undefeated with a 105-96 decision over Brigham Young.

Williams set a career high with the performance, hitting 9-of-14 shots from the floor, and distributed 15 assists for the Minutemen (8-0), who off to their best start since going 26-0 to open the 1995-96 season.

Sampson Carter scored 20 points), Raphiael Putney scored 15 and Maxie Esho finished with 12 points, six rebounds, two blocked shots for UMass.

Tyler Haws paced the Cougars (7-3) with 25 points. Matt Carlino had 23 points and six assists.
