CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va., Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Josh Gasser was the only player on either team to score in double figures Wednesday and No. 9 Wisconsin outlasted Virginia 48-38.

It was the 300th victory as coach of the Badgers for Bo Ryan, who is in his 13th year with Wisconsin.

The teams combined to make only 26 shots made from the field, 15 of them by the Badgers. The last field goal of the game came with 6:30 to play -- a 3-pointer by Gasser that put Wisconsin in front by eight.

Virginia hit a mere 11-of-49 from the field in the furious defensive struggle and made 1-of-11 from 3-point range.

Gasser scored 11 points, making the only two shots he took from the field and hitting 5-of-6 from the foul line. Frank Kaminsky added nine points for the Badgers, unbeaten in nine games this season.

London Perrantes led Virginia (7-2) with eight points.
