ANN ARBOR, Mich., Nov. 29 (UPI) --
Zak Irvin helped stake Michigan to a quick start and finished with 24 points Friday, as the No. 20 Wolverines ran away from Coppin State 87-45.
Michigan raced to a 19-point halftime lead and did not let up while improving its record to 4-2.
Irvin hit 9-of-13 from the field. Caris LeVert added 15 points and Glenn Robinson III had 14.
Coppin State (2-3) made just 2-of-17 from 3-point range and managed only 16 field goals for the entire game.
Dallas Gary had 11 points to lead the Eagles.
