MEMPHIS, Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Austin Nichols scored 20 points Saturday and No. 11 Memphis employed a balanced scoring attack in its 98-59 win over Nicholls State.
Jeremy Smith got most of his 18 points at the free-throw line, draining 14-of-15 foul shots, and Michael Dixon Jr. came off the bench to score 16 for Memphis (2-1), which had five players reaching double figures in scoring.

Nick King added 12 points and Chris Crawford supplied 11 for the Tigers.
Jeremy Smith paced Nicholls State (0-4) with 16 points.
