COL BKB: Florida 67, Southern 53

GAINESVILLE, Fla., Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Patric Young led a balanced scoring attack with 12 points Monday and 14th-ranked Florida cruised to a 67-53 victory over Southern.

DeVon Walker and Casey Prather chipped in with 10 points apiece for the Gators (3-1), who broke the game open with a 12-2 run early in the first half.

Kasey Hill scored eight points before leaving with an ankle sprain.

Calvin Godfrey pumped in a game-high 18 points for Southern (1-4).
