AMES, Iowa, Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Melvin Ejim scored 22 points in his return from an injury Sunday, helping hoist Iowa State to a 77-70 upset victory over eighth-ranked Michigan.

Ejim had missed the first two games of the season with a hyperextended knee but showed few signs of rust against the Wolverines, coming off the bench to provide substantial scoring punch.
