COL BKB: Indiana State 83, Notre Dame 70

SOUTH BEND, Ind., Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Justin Gant netted 17 points Sunday, leading a balanced attack that resulted in an 83-70 upset victory for Indiana State over No. 22 Notre Dame.

A 3-pointer by Dawon Cummings capped a 23-6 run in the first half that handed the Sycamores (2-1) a 25-11 lead, and Indiana State cruised from there.

Khristian Smith (15 points), Manny Arop (13), Jake Odom (10, seven rebounds) and Devonte Brown (10, five rebounds) also reached double figures.

The Fighting Irish (2-1) were paced by Eric Atkins with 18 points and five assists.

Jerian Grant provided 17 points and Pat Connaughton added 16 for Notre Dame.
