COL BKB: New Mexico 88, Alabama A&M 52

ALBUQUERQUE, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Cameron Bairstow's double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds Saturday propelled No. 20 New Mexico to a season-opening 88-52 win over Alabama A&M.

Kendall Williams (17 points, seven assists) and Alex Kirk (16, 12 rebounds) also played key roles for the winners.

Cullen Neal, son of new Coach Craig Neal, added 12 points for the Lobos (1-0), who are coming off a 29-6 season and a second-round NCAA Tournament exit in 2012-13.

The Bulldogs (0-1) were paced by Jeremy Crutcher's 17 points.
